Back with fond memories and well, a different perspective in life.

Really love this camp and well, the camp instructor who is really a great man!
= )
And fellow campers that are fun loving and NICE!
Okok, shall carry on about the camp, read on!

First day
Met up with junejune and hl at yishun interchange and went to meet the rest of the people at yck interchange. Kiakia! Lols. I was really afraid about groupings and stuff like that.
Junejune and i wanted to back out, BUT CANNOT. Say liaos, must go. So we dragged our legs into the LTN8. The whole class of EC0610 campers sat on a row. Lols. We are like those super kiasu class, got cca points, then attendance is not bad that kind.
Then one by one all entered the LTN8. Looked at all the ex-o. Then waited.
At first feeling super scared because grouping gonna be random.
Hahas!
I hate getting into random groups.

Then they introduced the camp instructor - kevin.
He is a nice man. He owns two companies dealing with overseas community services and camps and stuff like that. He speaks well and he is SUPER DUPER inspiring. Junejune and my idol.
First, he got us to get into groups of 8 for the sleeping arrangement. Then he played another game which taught us about automatic. LOL! It was like freaky lo! At first, is normal then it comes to the sensitive part in which the person beside you will place the finger near your waist. And guess what, the AUTOMATIC is to shift and the arm start to go lower to shield the waist. LOL! Really is automatic. No words were said on what to do with the finger but we all knew the norm which is to POKE the waist. LOL!
And our experience brings about a belief which in turns brings about an action and that leads to AUTOMATIC.
Yeaps. Learnt alot from him.

Then we played another game that proved what he said about the experience that brings about belief and action those stuff.
It involves scissors, paper, stone! And everyone starts with being an egg first. And every win with someone of the same level will bring you a level up(i.e if you are an egg, a level up is chick). And one lose will bring you down. So we started with the game....and ME being super duper lousy with that game. So junejune and i are part of the few that lost in the game. Those winner evolved into HUMANS. lols!
And natural reaction is to WIN and then, need not do the forfeit right?
Lols. But he did something different. He made those that evolved into humans do the forfeit. So that means the winner did the forfeit which is not the norm. Interesting.

Then the 60++ of us are supposed to arrange ourselves according to age number of the total no. of pple at home. The main purpose was to rearrange us into 6groups. And so qiao, i got into the same group as JUNEJUNE and weida(*he got pretty "traumatised " by hl at the end of the camp*). And i am also in the same group as LinLin and Michelle. (*i used to not like this two girls due to what i call first impression. I am so honest. But this camp changed those views*) Then there are other 6guys. I CAN REMEMBER THEIR name because they are nice people! Let me name them. khatirk(*pronounce:khatib, our leader*), Shierk(*i think that is how it's spelt*), stanley, bryan, yang and samuel. THEY ARE SUPER NICE! Well, junejune and i nearly broke stanley's hands...lols..read on to know why. Hahas!
Shit, did i forget what is the first game we did?! I think i did. But never mind. We had a relay.
WHICH WAS TEDIOUS! And it marked the beginning of our team! More bonding after that!
This relay totally made us all mad! Lols. It's harder than hard!
Lols!

One member of each team got to run to another end and perform each task. Once finished then can run back and tap another member then the member run and complete another task. More of individual commitment if you want the team to win. Like kevin(*camp instructor*) said, we all are really committed sia! There are weird task to complete! Let me see if i can remember. First task: Finish eating the bisuit without water to drink. (*SUPER HARD TO SWALLOW*) Second: Skip with a super long rope 10times. Third: Bounce the pingpong ball using the bat ten times without dropping(*weida pro!*). Four: Stack chess into a pyramid and back into a tower. Fifth: Stack domino like things into a tower(*samuel pro! this task super hard!*) Sixth: "Basketball" Seventh: Blowing of the rubber ball a distance to touch the cup (*Super hard! Blow till i wanna die! Bryan blew and it wont moved but he didn't give up! He blew till his face went super red!*) Eighth: Drinking of Ice Seven Up after sucking the ICE COOL mint sweet for 30secs. The sweet must still be in the mouth after every can of water. SUPER HARD! (*Shirek and khatib are pro!*) Great fun! All participated. Super fun!
Then after that if, i am not wrong is the very stressful sit down game. OMG!
It's like he will think of a number then it's up to us to sabo each team. And we need to clear or we will need to stack towers. If drop, minus marks and stuff like that. Stressful! I didn't kena and you can really see those suay ones! Hahas!
Card Game. Black black red red etc. It is more of strategic. But honestly, i wanted to really scheme. But i didn't. I think must admit. Scheming. But then, it turned out that, at times, scheming may not be a good choice. Perhaps,status quo is a good choice to make. Perhaps, both parties got to show the black card so that we all won't lose.


Then after that is dinner and stuff.
Then then then, comes the super TIRING GAME. (*i think i missed out some activites. Hehe*)
Treasure Hunt/ Movie Hunt. None of us are dry. Nopes, not water but SWEAT!

It involves charade. So one person act the movie titles out and we all guess. Then we will need to run and guess what is the movie title then that one person run off to hunt for the movie title that the those facilitators(ex-o) hid. RAN LIKE MAD! And the area is HUGE! Level one to seven somemore. And inside the lift also have! And after looking for the movie title, there will be a question and you will need to answer it. Run back to ex-o of the group and tell the answer if not ASK for the answer. If need hints, need to PERFORM~ And guess what, i did a stupid banana dance infront of like humans. ARG! But better than samuel, he danced with the dustbin. LOL! Then ran again and find again. Then help out to find. SUPER TIRING! None of us slack lo. I am like wow over it at the end of the day. *beams* SO TIRING!!
Really! And junejune's forfeit involves shirek, khatib and me.
Lols!! SUPER EMBARRASSING CAN! Well well well, those ex-o really good at sabo-ing pple. LOLS! Shirek "proposed" to me and khatib to junejune. LOL! Ended fast and it's cute! Sporting people! =) And soon, we finished with the game. All sweaty and stinking!
LOLs.
And after debrief, head to BATHE! And it's the first time in my first year of being nyp student, i find that NYP is big. Walking to sports complex to bathe is like mafan!
Bathed and headed back to the tut room.
All tired like hell! Then went back and arranged the tables to sleep on. = )
Junejune, hl and i slept on the tables. Finished talking and eating LAYS and we slept!
Super nice to sleep! oh yes, nyp aircon auto off at 11pm.
Hehes.

Woke up a few times and GOT A SHOCK! Junejune disappeared! LOLS! She hid under the blanket! LOL! Then slept!!

Second/Last Day
Woke up at 7 and headed to wash up and of course breakfast.
LinLin and Michelle are no longer with us, they left earlier.
So our group are left with 9people.
First game is a blindfolding game. SUPER HARD!
There will be two/three guides from each team on level four shouting commands to those blindfounded and scattered on one level lower.
Each team need to get a rope and found a star with 6corners and all members touching the star.
I was like at a weird angle and i can see NOTHING! I was like trying super hard to hear but i can't! I can hear MICHELLE MICHELLE! But then, i can not hear the commands. Poor shirek and khatib. Lols! LUCKILY junejune found me and together we held hands and tried to listen. Found them and stanley was near complete with the star! PRO can! They can do the star blindfolded! We finished first!
YAYS!
During the blindfolding period, i was near giving up. I just wanted to take down the blindfold. It was freaky to not know where you are going! But i told myself i just got to finish and end this. = )
Lucky junejune found me.
She called me and it's like angel's voice!
Hahas!

I kept holding the wrong hands.
WOOPS!

hehes.
Then the second last game was something like caterpillar game. With rope obstacle and stuff. We ain't supposed to even touch the rope and even the chairs can't touch it. We came in first! = )
Stanley was pro and he is nice! Hahas! Our group people are nice lo! = )

Then the last game is more on luck.
And the ending results? WE GOT SECOND! From the fourth placing, we went to third and went to SECOND!
= )
COOL! We are super happy! Lols!

Then had lunch! Then comes the harder challenge which really tire all of us out!
It was a WHOLE OGL GROUP! Meaning 60++ year one ogls! And we need to complete task again! THE TASK ARE HARD AND STRESSING! There are nine task and we need to complete a minimun of nine! TaskOne: Poking the 25satay sticks into the holes on a tin within 35seconds.(*completed within 30secs*) TaskTwo: Holding the chopstick on chest level,drop it and make the chopstick poke into the vase(*small opening*). (*rather hard! Tired so many times with vulgarities spilling out! Just broke my group's ground rules*)
TaskThree: Do card pyramid.. TaskFour: Do cup pyramid and stack them up again within 12seconds! (*can't find station!*) TaskFive:A small rubber ball throw from the height of four storey. Need to catch, cannot drop. (*completed within two tries!*) TaskSix: Memory game(*cannot find station!*) TaskSeven: BlackJack. There are cards faced down on the table and you need to pick out a max of 5 cards and they need to add up to 21 points. Lower or higher, try again!(*tried so many times! Scolded vulgarities! Completed in the end*) TaskEight: Darts! Need to add up to a minimum of 55 points. First time trying. HARD! But completed! =)
TaskNine: Get people to carry you up to a rather tall height and squeeze the pouch which produce a duck quack sound. Junejune and i already decided that we won't do this. Our weight, we won't want to place anyone in danger. Lols. BUT WE DID IT! LOL!
With the help of three poor guys. Eli, terry and stanley. POOR THING! Hahas! Nice people.

Then we need to come up with an OGL cheer as a group and run like a long distance to LTN8 (*cannot short cut, they made up run up and down to reach LTN8*) Ran like mad! But the unity is great! Had our ogl cheer which gave myself goosebumps.
We ended faster than before. = )
And that marked the end of the camp. Had so much fun! LOVE the people there! The speech by kevin really made me and junejune felt so nice! = )

Oh yes, about the LinLin and Michelle. I used to don't really like them. BUT THE CAMP changed it. They are actually very nice people!!!! And the class AB guys! they are nice people too! Lols! Eli was nice! And was that guy Fred or what too. Nice people! Hahas!
This camp made me realize so many things. People may not necessary be who we think they are.
And this taught me to think for the present. Like many people are forever thinking of the past. He mentioned about students worrying about results even after all the papers. Like what is the point. I mean, we all know this, but how many of us actually act by it. Now i know. I understand and i act by it. We need to think of the present NOW! We cannot be too distracted by the FUTURE or PAST. Yeaps. And other really meaningful stuff that we learnt.

Really worth it all.
Junejune and i are glad that we didn't back out last minute.
We learnt tolerance, we learnt to help each other, we learnt to commit to each other, we learnt to compromise and yet, get things done. We learnt alot and we see things in a brighter way now.
So many times, misunderstandings are brought about by the lack of communication and well, NO communication. Yeaps. But of course, many times, the people in it needs to be committed equally and also not give up! Just like bryan and weida. They tried the same task for so long and are unwilling to give up! I am trying to stay optimistic now. Tired and i am really, well fed up. Never mind. Think positive think positive.

I AM SO TIRED NOW!
I am faced with something that test myself just after the camp.
Shan't say what it is. BUT I AM FREAKING TIRED WITH the small amount of sleep i have.
Things just can't be done.
Never mind.

I shall take what kevin taught us and bring it with me. = )

Tired and well, when i am tired, it's hard to really control my temper.
